Description
Repo Inspector is a handy tool that lets you peek into the contents of any public Git Repository without having to download it onto your computer. It can be especially useful when you want to quickly check what's inside a specific folder or file in a repository, say, when you're browsing projects on platforms like GitHub or GitLab and want to understand more about a project's structure or a particular piece of code.
How to use:
- Find the repository you're interested in: This could be on any platform that supports Git, like GitHub or GitLab. You just need the link to the repository.|||
- Decide what you want to inspect: You can either inspect a specific folder or a specific file in the repository.|||
- Ask the plugin to inspect the repository: If you want to inspect a folder, you'll need to provide the link to the repository and the path to the folder. If you want to inspect a file, you'll need to provide the link to the repository and the path to the file. The path is just the series of folders you have to click through to get to the file or folder you're interested in.|||
- Wait for the plugin to do its magic: The plugin will then fetch the information and present it to you. You'll be able to see a list of all files in a specified folder or the content of a specific file, depending on what you asked for.
